Man allegedly threatens couple and their children at Matlock tourist destination

Police are appealing for information following an alleged incident at a Matlock tourist attraction in which a man is alleged to have been absuive and threatening towards a couple and their children.

At about 4.50pm on Monday, May 30, a verbal altercation is believed to have taken place between a couple and a man at the Heights of Abraham hilltop park in Matlock.

The man is alleged to have been abusive and threatening towards them and their children following the incident on the children’s play area.

The information has only just come to light from Derbyshire police.

Police have carried out a voluntary interview with a 47-year-old man in relation to the incident but are keen to speak to any witnesses who may have seen or heard the argument.
