Man charged after graffiti was spray-painted on horses in Derbyshire

A Derbyshire man has been charged with damage after he sprayed graffiti on two horses and property in Unstone.

Ricky Tomlinson, 26, of Hassop Close, Dronfield, was charged with twelve counts of damage which all took place between Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25.

A police spokesman said the pink graffiti paint was sprayed onto a horses’ face and a rug covering another animal in a paddock off Main Road in Unstone.

He added: “Similar graffiti was also found on a vehicle on the forecourt of a car sales business on Main Road, on a wall outside Unstone Junior School, on play equipment and furniture at a park on Whittington Lane, on local signage and on a bus shelter in the village.”

Tomlinson was arrested after a police appeal in connection with the incidents in October.

He will appear before magistrates in Chesterfield in February 2016.
