Man charged after robbing 85-year-old woman who broke her arm

An 85-year-old woman had arm broken and shoulder dislocated during robbery.

The incident happened at 10.45am in Sheffield Road, Whittington Moor, Chesterfield, on Wednesday, June 13.

A 38-year-old man has been charged with robbery.

A number of bystanders came to the aid of the woman and Derbyshire Police would like to thank them for their quick actions.

Andrew Green, of Green Farm Close, Chesterfield, was remanded in custody to appear at North East Derbyshire and Dales Magistrates’ Court today (Friday, June 15).
