Two staff members from YHA have raised £6,500 for Breaks 4 Kids, thanks to support from Matlock businesses.
Stéph Kynnersley from Wirksworth, and Crewenna Dymond from Kirk Ireton, completed the London Marathon in April.
Steph said: “We’ve been amazed by the support we received from friends, colleagues and family, but the response from local companies to support the charity auction and prize draw to help us with our fundraising has been fantastic and we want to thank them all.”
Breaks 4 Kids is a charitable fund, making it possible for underprivileged children to go on trips by funding up to 50% of the cost at a Youth Hostel. More than 5,500 children were helped last year.
