It will be a family affair when dad Mark Street runs the Sheffield half-marathon with his daughter Jane on Sunday, May 8.
Mark, 49, from Great Longstone, got bitten by the running bug four years ago, closely followed by his wife Elizabeth and their three daughters Molly, Jane, and Thea.
Jane, 19, who works for herself teaching the piano, will be at her dad’s side in Sheffield.
She said: “This will be my first race so its going to be a new experience, I hope to get round in under two hours.”
Mark, who works in the pipe seals division of Trelleborg Forsheda in Bakewell, is running for Bowel and Cancer Research, as the disease has affected members of his family. Last year he raised more than £1500 for the charity by running the London Marathon, Great North Run and Birmingham Half Marathon.
