A ‘local legend’ has retired after 28 years of care in the community.
Marion Marsden celebrated her 64th birthday and stepped down from her role as health care assistant at Darley Dale Medical Centre.
Colleague Sue King said Marion was always willing to go the extra mile for patients.
She added: “Marion is hugely popular with all patients and staff for her friendly, helpful manner. She really is a local legend.”
Marion, who is married to Norman and has three daughters, has never missed a patient visit through bad weather and always made it though the snow and floods.
Staff hosted a party for Marion and presented her with a bouquet of flowers.
