Sometimes it’s hard to see how much progress you’ve made when you’re losing weight or getting fit. But I think if I could put me now next to the old me I’d really see a difference. I just keep having to remind myself how far I’ve come!

Things are starting to get noticeably easier and I’ve reached a few landmarks. The first was being able to run continuously for 10K. If you’re a runner you wouldn’t think twice about that but for me it was a massive achievement. The next landmark was taking part in my first 10k run at Thornbridge Hall. Really scary and on one of the hottest days of the year! But I did it in a pretty respectable 1 hr 29 min 44 secs which was another massive achievement.

I’ve had some great help too. Personal training company, born2move, have given me free boot camp sessions. They really push you and I’ve been working muscles I never knew I had. The personal trainers are all really supportive and have been giving me lots of tips and advice.

It makes a massive difference to know someone is supporting. So just a few weeks to go. I just need people to sponsor me now! I’m running for Helen’s Trust.

It really is a great cause. You just need to go to their website and read the stories and you’ll see what I mean.
