Matlock man caught with drug powder on trousers
A man admitted possessing mephedrone drugs after police searched a property in Matlock.
Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on Friday how Zachary Henson, 19, had been visiting the property when it was searched by police in November. Robert Carr, prosecuting, said police found white powder on Henson’s trousers.
Felicity Clarke, defending, said this was the first time Henson, of Mettesford, Matlock, had been in court and he is no longer taking drugs.
Magistrates fined Henson £138 and ordered him to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
