Matlock’s litter pickers rewarded

An award scheme has been set up to encourage responsible Matlock residents to go litter picking.

The Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) and the Marsh Christian Trust have launched the Marsh Award for a Beautiful and Litter-free Countryside to reward local groups, individuals and organisations who help keep the countryside tidy.

The winner will be invited to receive their accolade, along with an award of £500, from CPRE president Bill Bryson in June.

Nominations for the award will be accepted until Friday, April 20, and can be made by visiting
