Matlock stabbing victim discharged from hospital

The 22–year–old man was rushed to Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham, for treatment of serious stab wounds following the incident in Linden Grove, Matlock, shortly before midnight on Thursday (April 24).

Nicole Ryder, 18, of Matlock, was arrested in connection to the stabbing and appeared in Chesterfield magistrates’ court on Saturday, charged with grievous bodily harm. The Mercury is currently awaiting an update on the court appearance.

A 15–year-old girl was arrested for assisting an offender and a 28-year-old man was arrested for obstructing police in the execution of their duties. Both have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
