A charity is encouraging school staff in Matlock to learn life saving first aid during their inset training day.
St John Ambulance has made the call after new data revealed that a third of people with asthma are at high risk of a potentially fatal attack.
According to Asthma UK, 36 per cent of people with asthma are at a high risk and, whilst many people underestimated their risk of having an attack, actually 93 per cent were at increased or highly increased risk.
St John Ambulance works with hundreds of schools and provides first aid training to hundreds of thousands of young people every year across the Midlands.
