Men charged with Hathersage and Darley Dale bank robberies

Two men have been charged in connection with three bank robberies – including two in Derbyshire last year.

Jordan Lee Christopher Lydon, 23, of Clee Road, Cleethorpes, and Michael Francis Lydon, 50, of Donnington Street, Grimsby, are charged with three counts of conspiracy to commit robbery.

They are suspected of committing robberies at RBS bank, on Main Street, Hathersage, last February, at RBS bank, on Station Road, Darley Dale, last August and at TSB bank, on Manor Street, Bridlington, last September.

The men appeared at Beverley magistrates’ court today.

They did not enter a plea and were remanded in custody.

The men will appear at Hull Crown Court on March 18.
