Bakewell’s annual celebration of art continues this week with more top performances at venues around the town.
Festival Dance will be continuing their show at the Medway Centre today from 7pm to 8pm, highlighting the diversity of dance.
Bakewell Youth Theatre will be presenting their show Kiss Me Kate, combining Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew with the music of Cole Porter in Castle Street at 7pm today and the Babbling Vagabonds will showcasing The Devil and the Three Golden Hairs at Holme Bank Quarry at 6pm and 8pm.
Other highlights to look out for today include BAF Sessions at the tent as a host of talent from Chesterfield give performers in the Peak a run for their money.
Tomorrow’s packed programme will include a thrilling 90-minute promenade production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth in the striking setting of the Parish Church, by Festival Theatre.
Saturday’s programme will see jazz at Le Mistral and more BAF sessions in the tent.
The ten day festival will close on Sunday with the big Bakewell Arts Festival party.
