Motorcylist killed on A57 Snake Pass named

A motorcyclist who died after a crash on the A57 Snake Pass on Sunday morning has been named as Arthur Unwin.

Mr Unwin, 62, from Failsworth in Manchester, was riding a black Kawasaki motorbike which was in collision with a Citroen Picasso people carrier at around 11.20am.

He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A Derbyshire police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or either vehicle prior to the collision to contact the Collision Investigation Unit using the 101 number, quoting incident number 316 - 9/3/14.”
