Rescuers went to the aid of an injured walker in the Edale Valley on Saturday.
The walker, from Sheffield, was descending Hollins Cross when she slipped and injured her lower leg.
Members of Edale and Buxton mountain rescue teams responded at around 1.50pm.
A spokesperson for Edale MRT said: “She was treated initially by local team members and protected from the elements as further resources arrived.
“Once her injuries were assessed she was given fentanyl analgesia by team members before having her leg splinted.”
The casualty was carried to a waiting ambulance and transported to hospital.
