Mountain teams rescue poorly climber
Members of Buxton Mountain Rescue Team joined their colleagues from the Edale Team responding to rescue a poorly climber at Bamford Edge.
A climber was seconding a route when he suffered a serious medical collapse whilst on the crag on Friday, May 2. His climbing partner lowered him to the ground.
A mountain rescue doctor and paramedics attended the casualty before he was carried on a rescue stretcher to the waiting ambulance.

Hide AdHe was transferred to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, at Sheffield, for treatment.
An air ambulance had made several attempts to land near to the incident location but could not find a suitable and safe landing site.
