New equipment has been revealed for a Wirksworth play area.
A multi-use games area, cantilever cradle swing and multi-activity unit will be among the attractions at a Gorsey Bank recreation ground, which was saved from cuts last month.
The £36,000 project is set to be completed by the end of the year.
Chairman of the district council’s community and environment committee Janet Goodison said: “We were determined not to let this project get away.
“Even when the funding apparently dried up, we held a meeting with the town council and the Gorsey Bank Residents’ Association to consider different ways of providing a new play area, including alternative funding sources.
