ONE Dales museum has turned all digital in a bid to display more photographs from its vast archive.
Wirksworth Heritage Centre launched its latest development with the introduction of new digital photograph frames.
The new frames will allow some of the huge archive held by the heritage centre to be displayed at various points throughout the museum.
With the support of Garry Purdy, Derbyshire County Councillor for the Wirksworth, the Heritage Centre received a £500 grant to purchase the frames.
The grant was presented to Joan Cooper, a trustee of the centre, on Saturday 20 August.
The Chair of the Trustees, Joanna Faulkner said: “Thanks to Mr Purdy’s support, the Heritage Centre can now display more and more of its huge archive of images relating to the people and places of Wirksworth.
“These frames mark an important step forward for the development of Wirksworth Heritage Centre as we continue to improve the museum for the future.”
