It is full steam ahead for the reopening of a railway line – which will be used for the first time in 20 years.
Ecclesbourne Valley Railway has been given the green light to start carrying passengers on the restored 8.5-mile single-track branch line, between Wirksworth to Duffield from April.
Tickets will be on sale next month.
The line will be used 76 days a year. It will provide services on those days, connecting with East Midlands Trains services from Matlock to Nottingham.
