A new children’s outdoor play area is to be installed at Crich Tramway Village in time for the new season.
Wicksteed Playgrounds have been appointed to supply and install the elements which include a Mordred castle, swings, see-saw, twister, zip wire and pick-up sticks.
The new elements will complement the existing ‘Trim Trail’ but the outdated slide and swings will be removed.
The outdoor play area is situated near to the Woodland Walk and Sculpture Trail and will provide more facilities for older children visiting Crich Tramway Village.
Jan Barratt, Learning and Participation Manager, said: “We have planned the new play area carefully to help encourage active play and team participation, which will complement our learning and trail activities for children.”
Simon Burke, from Wicksteed Playgrounds, added: “The equipment has been carefully selected to offer a wide and varied range of new play opportunities for all ages of visitors to the village.”
Crich Tramway Village re-opens following the winter break on March 19, 2016.
