Short-break specialist Super Break has launched a new programme of getaways to Northern Iceland - and the good news is, the flights all depart from East Midlands Airport.

The company is the only travel brand to offer direct flights from the UK to Akureyri, and the new packages give travellers the chance to head off the beaten track for a three-night experience.

The packages, which depart from February 2019, include a range of options from car hire, to trips to the Goddafoss Waterfall and the boiling mud pools of Namafjall.

There is also an excursion to see the Northern Lights as part of one of the packages.
