AFTER cycling fever gripped the nation during the 2012 Olympics, the British Heart Foundation is urging people across the Dales to get on their bikes at a nearby event.
The Peak District Mountain Bike Challenge takes place on Saturday 29 September and will see participants tackling the terrain around the Hope Valley area.
Riders can do battle with one of four circuits including a 15, 24, 34 and 39 mile route.
Event organiser Hannah Carling said: “Cycling is such a fantastic sport to keep your heart healthy and this challenging event is great for getting your blood pumping.”
The event is unsuitable for under 18s and entry is £20 and £25. For details visit www.bhf.org.uk/peakmountainbike or contact 0800 169 3672.
