Open house plan to move markets

Two leading estate agencies are planning to take part in this year’s ‘Big September Move’ – the UK’s largest open house weekend.

Frank Innes and Blundells, both part of the Countrywide chain of agents, will join more than 1,300 firms throughout the UK to help their committed buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants complete their sale or purchase by the end of the year b y taking part in the event on September 17 and 18.

Frank Innes also took part in the last UK-wide Open House event in May which attracted over 31,000 viewings over one weekend.

Blundells have only recently been acquired by Countrywide.

Launching the Open House weekend Jonathan Simpson, managing director of Frank Innes said: “Previous open house weekends have seen sales agreed on properties before the end of the weekend, which is an excellent result for the seller and the buyer.

“The attraction for our clients – both buyers and sellers – is the potential for home movers to see the widest selection of properties within one weekend, without having to make several appointments spanning a number of days..

Ian Appleyard, for Blundells, said: “There is still time for local homeowners and landlords to sign up and take part. We anticipate this event to be the biggest yet as we are currently seeing a huge amount of buyer interest in the properties we currently have for sale, especially within the Chesterfield and Sheffield area.”

To coincide with this event, Countrywide Mortgage Services consultants operating in Frank Innes and Blundells will be offering exclusive mortgages and will also be available to discuss the financial options available for buyers including the Government’s new First Buy initiative.

Frank Innes and Blundells agents will be on hand to offer their expertise all weekend and those interested in viewing a property can call their local Frank Innes or Blundells office to obtain a unique password which will allow access to the property for the viewing.
