Youngsters in Bakewell have been recognised for the hard work they have put into OzBox training sessions.
They were presented with special certificates by the High Sheriff of Derbyshire David Coke-Steel following one of the weekly sessions on Wednesday, December 7.
Councillor Judith Twigg and members from the Bakewell Community and Town Hall Trust, Pat Lunn and David Walker were also there to honour youngsters.
Sessions have been run weekly over the past 16 weeks at Bakewell Town Hall since July, thanks to free room hire from Bakewell Community and Town Hall Trust and a donation from a resident.
They have been run by PCSO Jonathan Taylor, Derbyshire Dales District Council’s Karen Cooper and Special Constable Jessie Conquest.
PCSO Taylor said: “ The aim now is to continue the sessions into the new year at Bakewell Town Hall and taking youngsters to the main OzBox gym at Chesterfield where they may improve their skills further.”
