Two men have been arrested in connection with the theft of a Land Rover from Matlock.
A Land Rover Defender failed to stop for traffic police between junctions 29 and 30 of the M1 at 2.45am on Wednesday, May 11.
South Yorkshire officers stopped the Defender and arrested the driver and passenger, two men aged 23 and 18. They remain in custody for questioning.
The vehicle is believed to have been taken from a house in Chesterfield Road.
In a separate incident, a man called police at 1.30am on Wednesday, May 11, when he disturbed a man trying to take his Land Rover from his house in Starkholmes Road.
Officers are investigating whether the two incidents are connected.
