Park’s commemorates the centenary of Great War

A Matlock park is commemorating the centenary of the First World War.

A sculpture standing amongst wild flowers in Hall Leys Park and the vegetable plot in front of the trench symbolise the struggles that people experienced during the war.

The bed, designed, and made by members of Matlock In Bloom has been appreciated by visitors to the park over the last few.

Twiggs of Matlock manufactured the steel profile and Derwent Treescapes provided the lavender edging plants.
