Patient discharge review welcomed by Healthwatch Derbyshire

It comes after Derbyshire County Council’s Health Scrutiny Committee agreed to assess the current processes for the discharge of patients from hospitals to their home or other care settings.

The review is anticipated to take around six months to complete.

Karen Ritchie, chief executive of Healthwatch Derbyshire, said: “We look forward to the findings of the review and hope that any recommendations aimed at improving patient experience are taken on board.”
