Peak District: Chef brothers cook up a storm
A pair of brothers will be cooking up a treat for diners at a top Peak District Hotel.
Brothers Mike and Bryan Thompson will be working side by side at the Cavendish Hotel, in Baslow.
The pair have worked together in the past, so when a vacancy for a pastry chef arose, head chef Mike Thompson was quick to persuade his brother Bryan to apply for the position.
Mike said: “We work really well together. I think we respect each other’s strengths and areas of expertise and we enjoy bouncing ideas around. We’re certainly very honest with one another.”
