Peak Park starts New Year with two apprentices

Two young apprentices will learn about conserving the great outdoors in their new roles.

The Peak District National Park Authority has recuited Laura Matthews, 20, and Charlie Lovatt, 18.

Laura is based in the authority’s countryside and economy team, learning how to advise farmers and land managers on environmental conservation.

Meanwhile Charlie is working with the estate rangers, learning the skills of practical environmental work with the south area team.

Laura is working towards the advanced level three apprenticeship award and Charlie the intermediate level two.
