Calf rescued from slurry pit in Matlock

Fire fighters were called to a report of a calf stuck in a slurry pit in Matlock this morning.

Crews from Alfreton and Matlock fire stations used specialist animal rescue equipment to free the trapped calf at a property on Snitterton Road, Matlock.

The incident happened at 8.04am today (June 7).

Crews rescued the animal and left it in the owner's care.
