MX Display approached Treetops Hospice, based in Risley, in late 2019 to offer its creative skills and expertise to improve areas around the hospice enjoyed by patients, counselling clients and visitors.

Patients to the Treetops Wellbeing Café will now be greeted by a huge three-metre tall bespoke illustration of silver-birch trees and birds in the Wellbeing Space.

In addition, a dramatic tree design made from special acoustic material now adorns a large area of the Cheetham Centre, where clients come for bereavement and life-limiting illness counselling.

Emma Duerden, senior creative at MX Display, said “Treetops is a charity close to our hearts.

“We wanted to use our latest products and decorative acoustic panels to brighten their walls as a gesture of thanks for Treetops’ outstanding hard work and wonderful care in our local community.

“We really wanted to make a big difference so we worked closely with Treetops to identify spaces across the hospice where we could really have an impact.

“Our studio team came up with several ideas to transform the two walls that would promote the Treetops brand, and also be sensitive to the purpose of the spaces.

“The coronavirus pandemic slowed our progress through 2020, but we were keen to pick up the pace once things began to reopen. We installed the custom printed wallpaper and decorative acoustic panels in January and hope it will make a lovely surprise for patients when they return to this incredible facility.”

Treetops head of counselling Jules Kirk said: “On behalf of Treetops we want to say a huge thanks to MX Display for their incredibly generous support.

"We can’t wait to welcome our counselling clients back on site for them to see and enjoy the new designs and installations.

"The tree design in the counselling centre provides a warm welcome for those coming to the hospice for support during a very difficult time.”
