Mr Perkins told concerned staff he wanted to 'try and make sure we do everything we can to save every single job in Chesterfield' and ensure 'every single person who is affected gets the suport they should be entitled to'.
He added: "I know what an incredibly worrying time it is for you all.
"If anyone thinks I, as the local MP, can help them with their individual circumstances, as well as the work that I’m doing collectively to try and help them, please do get in touch with my office straight away."

"The loss of so many highly skilled jobs would be a major blow to the economy of Chesterfield and the surrounding area.
"It is vital that our whole community rallies around to support the DXC workers, supports the campaign launched by Unite and saves jobs in our town."
