“In my downtime I like to do a bit of knitting and have done for many years.
“I have a box full of wool – or should I say had a box full of wool!
“I couldn’t think of anything better to use it for other than to give something back by making hats for the newborn babies as they are always needing them.”
She added: “I have taken around 300 in so far and have a bag of 500 plus more to take when it’s safe to do so.”
