Man dies after Derbyshire collision involving army trucks and HGV

The incident happened on the northbound stretch of the A38 near Mickleover at 1.45pm on Wednesday.
It involved three army trucks and a HGV.
The driver of the HGV, a 53-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham later that same day.

Hide AdA Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “His family has been made aware – our thoughts are with them at this time.
“Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for any drivers with dash cam footage, in particular of the moments leading up to the incident, to get in touch.”
