Lara Roe, eight, suggested the new set-up be known as The Nest @ NCS after staff at the school asked both parents and children for ideas on what the new provision could be called.

Set to open its doors on January 5, The Nest has been five years in the making.
And, according to the school’s headteacher, Kerry Marsh, the team behind it is raring to go.
“Now we’ve got a name we can’t wait for the grand opening,” she said.

“We had so many fabulous suggestions from our children and their families that making a decision was hard but, having discussed it at length, we really felt like The Nest symbolised so much of what we stand for as a school and what we hope the nursery will offer.
“We’re really proud of our school and aim to work together, as teachers, children and parents, to help our pupils achieve their potential.
“We think that having our own nursery provision, where we can bring children in at that earlier age, will help us do that.

“We do still have some spaces so I’d encourage anyone in the area with a child who is about to turn three or has already turned three, to get in touch with us.”
