Reopening of vintage tram service at popular Derbyshire tourist attraction delayed

Crich Tramway Village, home to the National Tramway Museum, has had to delay operating their vintage tram service until Saturday, March 23.
The attraction was due to open fully from Saturday, March 16, but the tram operation due to an unforeseen technical issue with the overhead line equipment.

Hide AdOther parts of the museum will be open from March 16, including the exhibitions, workshop viewing gallery, tram depots and woodland walk and sculpture trail.
A reduced price of just £5 for an adult day ticket will apply from Saturday, March 16 to Thursday, March 21, and children will be admitted free during this time.
Existing annual tickets are still valid. Any annual tickets that expire between March 9 and March 23 will be extended by a further week.
General Manager, Dr Mike Galer, said: “We are so sorry for the inconvenience, but safety is our priority here at Crich.
