Petition for second EU Referendum tops more than one million signatures
A petition urging for a second referendum on the UK's membership of the European Union has topped more than one million signatures.
The Change.org petition has reached ten times the amount of signatures needed to be discussed in Parliament.
The petition attracted so much popularity when it was launched on Friday that the Change.org website temporarily crashed.
It comes after the UK voted to leave the EU on Thursday by 52 per cent to 48 per cent.
