A FORMER RAF pilot descended on a Bakewell and District Probus Club to talk about his experiences during his time in the force.
The fortnightly meeting of the group was held at the Devonshire Arms in Baslow where they listened to the stories of Terry Bond.
A friend of Probus member John Bolton, Terry spoke about the time he was forced to ditch his aircraft in the freezing North Sea off the coast of Cromer in Norfolk.
The undercarriage of the plane had malfunctioned and he was ordered to abort.
A spokesman for the Probus said: “It was a very entertaining hour down memory lane.”
