Recycling got creative at a Matlock school when youngsters let their imaginations run wild – with a plastic bottle.
Pupils at St Joseph’s Primary were set a challenge to transform the two litre bottles in to an original item, with ideas ranging from animals and sailing boats to a watering can.
Pupil Ollie Clay said: “St Jospeh’s is an eco school and doing this homework task fits in perfectly with our topic on the Amazon rainforest and conservation.”
Classmate Sarah Doyle added: “I enjoyed this imaginative and creative activity.”
Teacher Caroline Doxey said the children created a diverse range of objects. “I was very impressed by the array of original ideas,” she added.
