Green-fingered Peter Browne is celebrating after being awarded a top prize for his attractive allotment.
The retired Darley Dale gardener was given the accolade by town mayor Ingrid Pasteur for his impressive plot on Church Road.
The competition was judged by members of the horticultural society.
Ingrid said: “He has a very handsome plot.
“He has neat rows of good vegetables and a shed with tomatoes.”
She added: “He took it up after he retired and has found it a very satisfying hobby.”
There is currently a waiting list of over 30 people wanting an allotments at the Church Road site.
