Police were called at 9am this morning (Thursday, December 17) following reports of an attempted burglary overnight at Hathersage St. Michael’s CE Primary School on School Lane in Hathersage.

The would-be offenders attempted to gain entry to the building by using tools to force open the window, causing damage to the frame.

This follows a burglary at the school on the evening of Friday, December 11.

Thieves gained entry to two classrooms through a rear window and made off with two Toshiba laptops.
