Police appeal following Matlock death

Officers investigating the death of a man in Matlock are appealing for members of the public to contact them if they saw him in the hours before he collapsed.

Anthony Moulson (43) was found by an officer in Church Street just before 7am on Wednesday, May 1. He was taken to Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Royal Hospital, where he later died.

Police are now preparing a file for the corner and are investigating the circumstances of his death.

They are asking anyone who saw Mr Moulson between 4.30am and 7am that day, or anyone who saw police officers speaking to Mr Moulson, to get in touch.

Officers believe he had been in the Church Street area that morning and may have been seen or spoken to by commuters.

Mr Moulson is described as white with dark hair. He was wearing a green Regatta coat that day and dark trousers.
