Rhubarb Farm at Langwith Junction is in line for £8,434 for the provision of laptops and delivery of living skills courses for ex-offenders who volunteer to work there.

Police Commissioner Alan Charles announced grants totalling £162,000 as part of plans to keep the county safe from crime.

He said: “We are very lucky in Derbyshire to have a wide range of organisations that work hard to help prevent crime and support victims in their recovery. Their involvement does much to improve the quality of life within our communities.

“In the midst of these groups are many hundreds of volunteers who give their time and expertise to make a considerable difference.”
