Police forums to be held in Matlock Bath, Cromford and Bonsall

Members of the public can have their say on what issues police should focus on at the next neighbourhood forum meeting for Matlock Bath, Cromford and Bonsall.

Police officers from the team will host the event at Cromford Institute, in Cromford Hill, on Wednesday, April 24.

At the meeting, which starts at 5.30pm, local residents will hear what work the police have carried out to tackle crime in their neighbourhood.

There will also be an update on the team’s current policing priority, which is cracking down on road safety problems.

Members of the public will then be asked to make recommendations about the issues police should target for the following three months, in addition to the road safety work if that needs to continue.

PCSO Laura Coxhead, from the team, said: “These forum meetings are a great way for people to chat with us and make suggestions about the way we police their neighbourhood.

“Their success hinges on people coming along and having their say and I’d like to see as many people at the next one as possible.”
