Police launch manhunt after Chesterfield robber absconds from open prison

A Chesterfield man serving seven years’ imprisonment for robbery and arson has absconded from an open prison.

Police launched a manhunt after 27-year-old Sean Sisson absconded from North Sea Camp, near Boston in Lincolnshire, on Monday evening.

Sisson, who is from the area of Doe Lea and Bramley Vale, was jailed at Derby Crown Court in August 2012 for a robbery at Cash 4 Clothes on Sheepbridge Works in Chesterfield in November 2011.

The arson charge relates to an offence at Doe Lea in March 2012 when a house that had been burgled was set on fire.

Sisson is white, 5ft 11ins tall, very slim, with brown hair and blue eyes.
