Police prepare as Tour de France comes to Derbyshire

The Tour de France will travel through part of Derbyshire on the afternoon of Sunday 6 July.

Around 40,000 spectators are expected to line the route which includes the A6024 and the A628 Woodhead Pass in the High Peak of the county.

The police along with other emergency services and local authorities have been working together to ensure that safety plans are in place so that the event runs smoothly.
