Police probe after Derbyshire pub break-in and fire

Officers investigating a pub break-in in Derbyshire, in which alcohol was stolen and a fire was set, are appealing for information.

Police found a small fire near the Bluebell Inn, Station Road, North Wingfield, at around 4.20am on Friday, January 15.

They then discovered a ground floor window at the pub had been smashed and bottles of Jack Daniels stolen from behind the bar.

Three men were seen in the area at the time.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, questioned and released on bail while inquiries continue.
