Police are appealing for information following a shotgun incident at a farm in Bakewell.
Sometime between 4pm on Tuesday January 10 and Monday January 16 a Mitsubishi Delica that was parked in the farmyard off Longstone Lane was damaged by pellets.
The owner found that the radiator had burst as a result of the impact.
On Monday a silver car was seen in the area and two youths were spotted on the farm land carrying a gun.
PC Dave Naylor said: “We are treating this incident very seriously. Although there is no evidence that the gun was fired in the direction of people, whoever used the weapon did so in an extremely reckless way.
“We’d like to speak to anyone who was in the area and are particularly keen to talk to the two youths who were nearby on Monday.”
Anyone who has any information about the crime should contact the police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
