Protesting parents gather at Matlock’s County Hall

Parents protesting against plans to turn a Matlock primary school into an academy have formally asked the council to back them.

Protesters from the ‘Save our School’, set up in opposition to turn Castle View Primary School into an academy, are gathering at County Hall today to ask Derbyshire County Council to formally back them.

Members will discuss the issue in a meeting of full council today at 2pm.
