£4,400 boost for Amber Valley patients’ recovery
Residents of Amber Valley who are recovering from mental illness are being inspired to look after their health and wellbeing thanks to a grant of over £4,400 from national charity, Heart Research UK.
The year-long project, which starts this month, will equip those recovering from mental ill health with the knowledge of how to look after their hearts and improve their wellbeing through making positive lifestyle choices.
Run by Amber Trust and benefitting over 150 people, the sessions will highlight the importance of exercising, healthy eating, stress busting and the risks associated with smoking and drinking too much alcohol.
